Dr. Joyce E. Elliott is Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs at Empire State College, State University of New York. Dr. Elliott was previously Associate Dean and subsequently Dean at the college's Northeast Center.

Dr. Elliott previously was director of women's studies and Dean of Human Services and Sciences at the University of Illinois at Springfield. Dr. Elliott has a B.A. in sociology from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine and an M.A. and Ph.D. in sociology from the University of New Hampshire.
