Joyce Cooling

Joyce Cooling is a San Francisco-area smooth jazz guitarist. Growing up in New Jersey, she absorbed a wide variety of music, and developed a personal style of fingerpicking that has given her playing a unique sound and feel.
Has previously played with Joe Henderson, Stan Getz , and Charlie Byrd.
In June 1996 she performed at the Cotati Jazz Festival in Cotati, California.[1] She recently attended the Jarasum jazz festival in Jarasum, South Korea.
Along with other smooth jazz artists like Joe Sample, Cooling's work is often sampled as background music for the Local on the 8s on The Weather Channel, and is featured on their first compilation album, The Weather Channel Presents: The Best of Smooth Jazz.
