In March of 2008, Plaza spearheaded an artistic initiative integrating art and education as a means of raising awareness surrounding sexual violence against women and children and the work of Panzi Hospital in the Congo. The initiative, which took place on International Women's Day 2008 was W.O.R.T.H.'s First Annual Benefit. The second Annual Benefit will take place in Atlanta, Georgia in the spring of 2009.
