Joy English School is a major school franchise located in the Hsin-Yi district of Taiwan. Established by Sam Chen and Peggy Huang in 1981, it is one of the oldest and most established English schools on the island of Taiwan. There are more than 200 Joy English Schools across the island of Taiwan, with an additional twelve in China.
Joy schools typically offer standard contracts to foreigner teachers with conditions such as unpaid training and mandatory unpaid attendance to student christmas parties and other events.
