Jovem Pan, derived from the words Jovem, which means "youth", and Panamericana, which was the original name of the very first radio station, Rádio Panamericana, started in São Paulo on May 3, 1944. It was purchased in November of the same year by Paulo Machado de Carvalho.
The idea to start an FM station began with Antonio Augusto Amaral de Carvalho Filho, better known by his nickname, Tutinha, and began transmitting on July 1, 1976. However, the name "Jovem Pan" was coined in 1965 by Tutinha's father and owner, Paulo Machado de Carvalho.
Tutinha was instrumental in changing the landscape of Brazilian FM radio. His fresh ideas from the way the DJ's made their deliveries to the scope of music programming, was accepted in good taste. The desire to always be cutting edge in programming and broadcasting equipment put Jovem Pan at the top of the ratings.
In July of 1994, Jovem Pan started syndicating via Satellite. The project, known at Jovem Pan Sat, was an immediate success with over 50 affiliates.

Program presented every Sunday of the noon at 13:00 in the afternoon, from 1996, in that you/they come the 20 music more voted for during the week, Top 5 current (with right to retrospectives of other times), Top 5 American and European and stop of the Billboard, besides special promotions. Of 1996 the 2000, the program was presented for Marcelo Café. starting from 2001 until today, the presenter Rome Jingles it commands the program all the Sunday afternoons. In the Jovem Pan it USA FM, it is exhibited by Hit Parade name USA.

At any moment, a sequence with 7 success music at the present time burrow in his/her radio. They are The Better of the Programming 7; it can have, in certain times, a promotion of the Jovem Pan for the listeners of the radio: The 7 Better Winning Edition, in that the uvinte has to enroll for the official site, the announcer (place or SAT) it calls the house of the listener and him has to guess how the singer's name is or of the music that play to compete to prizes. Also The Better of the Listener 7 exist, where the music are asked for by the own, and they don't necessarily need to do success at that time, where the listener of the radio also competes to prizes. Presented for Rome Jingles, in 3 editions, of Monday to Saturday, the program bill with 3 music more asked in the whole progrmação in the present moment. It is the weekly voting of that program that will define which you/they will be the 20 music played Sunday for Hit Parade Brazil.

Friday, at the 21:00 hours of the night, it happens a set of mixings with the DJ local. Saturday, it happens the In the Special Ballad, with music that agitate the programming, and in the end mixings with DJs of the Young Pan, mainly if it is it DJ Pazinha (producing of Pancadões Jovem Pan 1 and 2).

If you are a rapper, DJ, or it just likes the culture of the rap and hip-hop, you cannot lose that program, that it shows the raps and national and international hip-hops, besides R&B. Sunday at 17:00 o'clock, schedule of Brasília, and now also with weekly editions (of Monday Friday) before Top 3.

Very similar to the In the Ballad, but it also presents music it dances of the programming, and it is only presented by local announcers on Mondays.

Of the 5:00 to the 6:00 hours of the morning, that program is official, not only exhibited in the net FM as well as in AM, where the news is treated with impartiality. It is also transmitted in the USA as Good Morning América Radiate Edition, and it exhibits the main ones announce of the world.

It is a promotion of the radio FM, beginning on Sunday of Hit Parade Brazil, in that a music is played with flashes during all the programming (that until Saturday), and the listener competes to prizes enrolling for the official site.
