[edit] WP:AIV reports
As a reminder, before reporting a user to WP:AIV, make sure they have vandalized recently and been warned. Not only had it been ten days since the IP address you reported last vandalized, but they also had already been blocked for six months. —C.Fred (talk) 23:18, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Maurice Genevoix
I did a massive cleanup of Maurice Genevoix. I don't speak French, so I wasn't able to get much information in the rewrite, since I could only find one English source. If you find any problems with it, go ahead and fix it. bibliomaniac15 03:06, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] {{Scorpaeniformes-stubs}}
Hi - a stub type which you created has been speedy deleted. It was an inferior duplicate of the correctly-named {{Scorpaeniformes-stub}} (which should be used instead). Please note that stub templates should be proposed prior to creation at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals, for discussion as to their naming, viability as stub types, and general use. in this case, had you done so, the existing stub type would have been quickly pointed out. [edit] Aquatic Inverts proposal
Considering we don't actually have a page Aquatic inverts or anything similar, it might help a lot if you either changed the name of the proposal to something we actually do have a page for or indicated exactly what you mean by the term. John Carter (talk) 22:03, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
- You probably need to change it to the whole title, Aquatic invertabrates. bibliomaniac15 03:25, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] {{AquaticInvert-stub}}
Hi - a stub template or category which you created has been nominated for deletion or renaming at Wikipedia:Stub types for deletion. The stub type, which was not proposed at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals, does not meet the standard requirements for a stub type, either through being incorrectly named, ambiguously scoped, or through failure to meet standards relating to the current stub hierarchy or likely size, as explained at Wikipedia:Stub. Please feel free to make any comments at WP:SFD regarding this stub type.
This is the second time this month that you have created a stub type that needed action. Please, in future, follow the instructions at WP:STUB and propose new stub types for debate prior to creating them! Grutness...wha? 00:19, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
- S'alright. As to other stubs like it, there are loads of different stub types for invertebrates, split by order and family: {{arthropod-stub}}, {{crustacean-stub}}, {{arachnid-stub}}, {{insect-stub}}, {{mollusc-stub}}, {{cephalopod-stub}}, {{crustacean-stub}}..., plus subtypes of quite a few of them. There's a list of them at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Stub_sorting/Stub_types/Science#Zoology. Grutness...wha? 00:39, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
- Removing the sfd notice from a stub template prior to the discussion being closed in not considered good form. The template and the badly named stub category you added have been renominated for deletion at SFD. Please do not remove the notices until the discussion has ended. Kribnesis
A tag has been placed on Kribnesis, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.
If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this. 76.79.100.242 (talk) 02:47, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] {{Cuttlefish-stub}}
Hi - I see you have recently created one or more new stub types. As it states at Wikipedia:Stub, at the top of most stub categories, and in many other places on Wikipedia, it is recommended that new stub types are proposed prior to creation at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals, in order to check whether the new stub type is already covered by existing stub types, whether it is named according to stub naming guidelines, whether it is otherwise correctly formatted, whether it reaches the standard threshold for creation of a new stub type, and whether it crosses existing stub type hierarchies. Your new stub type is currently listed at WP:WSS/D - please feel free to make any comments there as to any rationale for this stub type.
This is now the THIRD time that you have created a stub type which has needed extra work from other editors - work which would have been unnecessary had you proposed the stub type prior to creation as it recommends at WP:STUB. Please, stop making extra work for stub sorters by making stub types without proposal. Proposing stub types may be only listed as a guideline rather than a policy, but guidelines usually have very, very good reason for existing. In future, put forward any new stub types for discussion before you create them! Grutness...wha? 00:47, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
Sorry. Forgot about that. OK, I'll make a little note to propose next time, although, when I checked, I didn't see a stub for cuttlefish.

[edit] Requested article: Featherfin squeaker / Synodontis eupterus
(Cross posted to User talk:CourtneyBonnick and User talk:Jourdy288)
I see from the history of List of freshwater aquarium fish species that you are interested in tropical fish. I have an article request. Can you create Featherfin squeaker (Synodontis eupterus)? We recently got a submission on the photo submission OTRS queue of some featherfin squeaker pictures (Image:Synodontis eupterus 1.jpg and Image:Synodontis eupterus 2.jpg) and I'd like to see them used in an article. [edit] Re: Nardow redirect?
Hi Jourdy - you wrote: Why does Nardoa redirect here when it's on this list?
I've no idea. My best guess would be that there could be two different types of animal known as nardoa. If so, it should be fairly easy to verify that with google, and then Nardoa can be made into a disambiguation page. Grutness...wha? 10:25, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
