Journey (comics)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Journey, also known as Journey: The Adventures of Wolverine McAlistaire, was an independent comic created by William Messner-Loebs, about Michigan frontier life in the 19th century.

An ensemble piece, it tells the story of the Fort Miami settlement and the characters, both real and fictional, that occupy it. Among these is the title character, Joshua "Wolverine" McAlistaire.

It was published first by Deni Loubert, under the banner of Aardvark-Vanaheim and then Renegade Press. After fourteen issues, it moved to Fantagraphics. There were thirty-one issues in all.

A sequel, Journey: Wardrums, was billed as a 6 issue mini-series, but only two were published.

There was also a Journey story in Anything Goes! #5, published by Fantagraphics.

In July 2008 IDW Publishing will release a trade paperback collecting the first 14 issues.
