The Journal of Statistical Software (also JSS) is a peer-reviewed online-only scientific journal that publishes papers related to new open source software. It is edited by UCLA statistician Jan de Leeuw and published by the American Statistical Association.
JSS publishes user's guides and other forms of description of statistical software, together with the source code of the actual software in human-readable form. JSS also publishes reviews of statistical software and books (by invitation only).
The journal is notable for its publication of papers related to the R programming language.
