The Journal of Rehabilitation Research and Development (JRRD), formerly known as the Bulletin of Prosthetics Research, is an international peer-reviewed journal and resource for researchers and clinicians, as well as individuals with disabilities. The journal publishes and disseminates original investigations, clinical studies, and topical reviews covering all medical rehabilitation disciplines.
Each JRRD issue is either multi- or single-topic and contains 12 – 15 technical and clinical research articles. A non-technical summary of each article is also included to encourage patients and their healthcare providers to discuss research topics.
The journal is indexed by more than 13 abstract indexing services, including PubMed, Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), Google Scholar, Social Sciences Index, Engineering Index, The BDLOC System, and Free Medical Journals.
JRRD articles are within the public domain, with the exception of specifically indicated material. Immediately upon publication, full-text articles are archived on the JRRD Web site and in PubMed at no cost to publishing authors. Articles dating back to 1977 are available on the journal’s Web site.
The journal is published by the Department of Veteran Affairs [2], Rehabilitation Research and Development Service.
