Journal of Environmental Psychology

The Journal of Environmental Psychology has been published since 1980. It is published by Elsevier and its Managing Editor, since 2002, is Professor Robert Gifford of the University of Victoria. The Journal reports scientific research on human interactions with the built and natural environment, with an emphasis on the individual and small-group level of analysis. Sample topics include environmental perception, spatial cognition, environmental attitudes and concern, strategies for increasing pro-environmental behavior, environmental personality, personal space, territoriality, crowding, population density, privacy, resource management, resource dilemmas, commons dilemmas, the mutual influence of persons and nature, the impact of human behavior on sustainability, social science and architectural design, urban behavior, and the physical environment as a factor in work and in schools.
