The Journal of Biology is a scientific journal published by BioMed Central. It strieves to publish biological research articles of "exceptional interest". The journal website provides unrestricted access in the style of open access, and the articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution License. It requires an article-processing fee of £1200.

Another open access journal of similar scope is PLoS Biology. Journal of Biology started publishing in 2002.
