[edit] Re: Desert Sessions

Hey, the infobox looks awesome, the article looks like it's on it's way to being contructed for more than just a start. Good job. And For the 6th volume, that is just killer! Keep up the good work! -- Reaper X 18:56, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Sandpaper Love

Unfortunately, I have had to delete this article under the WP:CSD#G11 criteria. It appears to be a near-enough exact word for word copy of their myspace entry which is not acceptable and also qualifies it for speedy deletion under WP:CSD#G12. Please feel free to rewrite the article in your own words. For further information, please see WP:SPAM and WP:COPY and also WP:NOT which contains information specifically about Wikipedia not being myspace. Thank you. Bubba hotep 11:14, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: KJACK ARTICLE!

Hi, and thanks for your message. It seems the deletion log is not clear at all, sorry! The deletion was indeed proposed by User:Kjack1680, on the grounds that This article cites no sources, and would be better as a stub. Aside from lack of citation this article is mostly fabricated, revisionist history, and somewhat fiction. This is also not a legally licensed radio station but a small club of campus members. As you can see, that is not the deletion reason I chose, because it seemed to me indeed that this comment was a out of line. But I agreed that this article did not meet the notability guidelines, and therefore endorsed the deletion. Since it was originally a proposed deletion, I am willing to bring back the article if you want, but I double checked and I still think it does not assert the importance or significance of its subject. So either I can bring it back and send it to the deletion discussion where the community decides whether or not the article should be deleted, or I can move it to your user space for a short while (say, 1 month) so you can try to source it (A topic is presumed to be notable if it has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject). Of course, keep in mind that not all subjects make a good Wikipedia entry ;). Just leave a note on my page, or ask any admin! Thanks. -- lucasbfr talk 08:19, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

I restored it at User:Joshuah Hounshell/KJACK. As you pointed, it is kind of hard to find reliable secondary sources about a campus radio, and most of the articles about that kind of subjects ended deleted. The kind of questions that might help you is : "Did this radio do anything that attracted the attention of a national newspaper? Is there something special on this radio that made someone write someone write about it?". Alternatively, you might want to trim the article down (removing the staff, just keeping a few shows) and merge it as a section of Northern Arizona University. -- lucasbfr talk 09:12, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
