I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article United Kingdom Commercial Aviation Register, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at Talk:United Kingdom Commercial Aviation Register. You may remove the {{dated prod}} template, and the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
I flagged the above article for deletion, I want to recognise the hard work that you have done so far, but as I have already stated on the talk page this could end up with a list of over four thousand items just for the United Kingdom. It would also need to be changed nearly everyday and could quickly become out of date. They are lots of articles on aviation, computer games and your other interests that need improvement and could use your enthusiasm.MilborneOne 21:26, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Request for Help
Dear Joshrice, Sorry to trouble you, but would you be available to help extend the entry on the City of Everett? As it stands the article is a bit short. I'm adding a sentence on the first flight date, but we really need a couple of sentences summarising how the first flight went; there's stuff out there, but I don't know enough to know what's important and what's not. If you could lend a hand that would be a great help. Thanks in advance. WMMartin 16:10, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Icon-airlines-logo.gif)
Thanks for uploading Image:Icon-airlines-logo.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] Clickair @ Gatwick
As my edit comment mentioned, I removed your changes because we at Wikiproject Airports would like future destinations to include at least a month and a year for a begin date. Simply putting "to be transferred" gives the readers no indication as to an approximate time that this flight will begin and is a very vague statement at best. I do believe that the flights will start, but I didn't have time to do my own investigations through search engines and/or Clickair's website. I encourage you to find, as I said, at least a month in which the flight will begin and then feel free to re-add it. Thanks! NcSchu(Talk) 01:56, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Copyright status of Image:Icon Airlines.jpeg
Please do not post copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Image:Icon Airlines.jpeg. For legal reasons, we will delete copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites (http://www.flyicon.com/ in this case) or from printed material.
If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:
-
- If you have permission from the author leave a message explaining the details on the article Talk page and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
- If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Image:Icon Airlines.jpeg with a link to where we can find that note;
- If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on the article Talk page. Alternatively, you may create a note on your web page releasing the work under the GFDL and then leave a note at Talk:Image:Icon Airlines.jpeg with a link to the details.
Otherwise, you are encouraged to rewrite this article in your own original words to avoid any copyright infringement. Thank you. Cool Bluetalk to me 01:19, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
