[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Uss-stonewalljackson.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Uss-stonewalljackson.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you. Dethomas 07:51, 11 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image tagging for Image:Karazhan-01.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Karazhan-01.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Karazhan-01.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Karazhan-01.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr.) 23:01, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Did you know nomination for Igor Britanov
Howdy! Whilst browsing through Special:Newpages for potential articles to feature as part of the Did you know? section of the Main Page, I ran across the article Igor Britanov, which you created. You can see the proposed blurb at Template talk:Did you know under the date heading corresponding to the creation of the article. I'm adding this notice here for two reasons: Firstly, if you feel the blurb I wrote is inaccurate or misrepresents the subject, feel free to propose a correction below it, or add a note to my talk page. Secondly, barring a large backlog or a significant problem cropping up with regards to the article, you should expect to see it on the Main Page within a week, so if you wish to add some polish to it before getting a sizable influx of eyeballs looking it over, you'll need to do so fairly soon. Regards and good luck, GeeJo (t)⁄(c) • 19:54, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] DYK
Hello Josh. Thanks for the article, which GeeJo kindly nominated. Feel free to self-nominate in future and keep up the great work. Blnguyen (bananabucket) 07:15, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Star Trek: Odyssey
Just a heads up - you shouldn't insert new entries into an infobox like that - especially when it's for an unreleased film with hardly any references. Wait until the article has survived a while, or shown to be notable. Inserting it now is VERY premature. TheRealFennShysa 17:01, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Kelthuzad-1.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Kelthuzad-1.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. (ESkog)(Talk) 20:03, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Star Trek: Odyssey
A "{{prod}}" template has been added to the article Star Trek: Odyssey, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. --EEMeltonIV 16:42, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Sundevil1.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Sundevil1.jpg. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:52, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
- Before retagging the image file, I thought I would post the remaining issue here first. User:Ocatecir went ahead and filled in most of what was needed for a fair use statement, but he lacked one critical piece of information, that is the source of the image. Without the source being identified, the image will have to be deleted. Would you be so kind as to supply that information as you were the uploader? Dbiel (Talk) 12:31, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned non-free image (Image:ST-Odyssey-wallpaper.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:ST-Odyssey-wallpaper.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 04:18, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Pohanka-zouave.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:Pohanka-zouave.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 01:21, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Sundevil1.jpg
As the uploader of Image:Sundevil1.jpg would it be possible for you to provide the source of the image. This missing item may result in the deletion of the image. I have reframed from taging the image to allow additional time to update the fair use statement prior to the image actually being deleted due to the lack of the source information. Dbiel (Talk) 02:33, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image source problem with Image:Sundevil1.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Sundevil1.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 04:44, 6 December 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Dbiel (Talk) 04:44, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Hans Frank
Hello; I see that you've added an infobox on the Hans Frank page, which describes him as 'Governor-General of Occupied Poland'. There's been a brief discussion about his actual title on the Talk page in question, but basically, the point about the German invasion of Poland was to eliminate Poland as a country. The previous description of him as 'Governor General of the General Government', although a bit of a tongue-twister, was correct. Please can you respond as appropriate on the Talk page. --Major Bonkers (talk) 11:37, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Bismarck
Hi, can you add sth to the above talk page on why it's necessary to add a "namesake" section to the info. box, given that this is covered very near the start of the article? Thanks, bigpad (talk) 18:46, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
