[edit] General Tojo etc.

Hi Joseph, thanks for posting that info. Would you be willing to go one step further and ask him if he posts on wikipedia? --PaulWicks 17:18, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] kgb

Yes, it is me! Why on earth is this being traced back to Mr. Bridgeman? Is it someone at school vandalising the pages - the statements did not make any sense! michaelCurtis talk+ contributions 19:47, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Concordia Newsletter

NEWSLETTER

Concordia is currently trying to relaunch. I, and all the members of the ex-council, wish to welcome new members to the group. We are a group who aim to promote remaining civil, in an environment where messages can easily be interpretated wrongly.

[edit] Help out now!

  • Try and help people remain civil! Talk to them, and help them in any way possible. Do not be afraid to use the talk page.
  • Give people the Civility Barnstar.
  • Make and spread some Wikitokens so people know there are people to help if they want assistance.
  • Add banners or logos to your userpage to show your support.
  • Suggest some ideas! Add 'em to the talk page.

We are a community, so can only work though community contributions and support. It's the helping that counts.

[edit] Decision Making

The council expired one month ago, but due to the current position of the group the current council will remain until the position of the group can be assessed, and whether it would be sensible to keep Concordia going. For most decisions, however, it will be decided by all who choose to partake in discussions. I am trying to relaunch because of the vast amounts of new members we have received, demonstrating that the aims are supported.

If you wish to opt of of further talk-page communications, just let us know here.

[edit] Beware of deadly marshmallow

TWO people choked on it. It is very important subject, your fellows convinced me. We must stress it danger so people be aware. Where's deadly pizza, deadly spaghetti, deadly hot dog sections, by the way. I bet more than two people ckoked on each of them.

  • I'm not complaining about content, only the repeated postings - which were either a breach of the 3RR or edit warring. That's why I used the 3RR warning on your page.

Joseph Sanderson 22:04, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

So instead of wikilawering maybe you should draw your attention to content i.e. deadly marshmallows and other non-senses.

Hey, I've already reverted this article 3 times today, so while there are exceptions to 3RR for vandalism like this, I'd rather play it safe. I've reported the anonymous editor at WP:AIV already, but could you revert the last bit of vandalism if you're still online? Thanks. --Icarus (Hi!) 23:17, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re:Vandalism (possible)

I'm not sure what you mean. I wikified the article, I didn't vandalize it. --المستهلك 21:56, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

  • OK, just the typos in your first edit and the fact that you edited twice in a row looked like vandalism to me. That's also why I put a low level warning on your talk page - I thought it looked suspect, but if it was bona fide, fine.

Joseph Sanderson 22:04, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

OK, sorry about that. I hope you don't mind, I've reverted your reversion. Thank you. --المستهلك 22:11, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Roman roads in Britain

Hi Joseph. You reverted a bunch of anon edits to Roman roads in Britain as vandalism. I don't wish to comment on the validity of the reversion (the text appears fine, but the town links were definitely broken in the tables). I request that you check whether you reverted to the right place - I used AWB to dab Bath to Bath, Somerset in the middle of the anon edits, and I think you reverted to my version, keeping half the anon edits. You also have a response to your warning on User talk:86.85.44.73. --Scott Davis Talk 01:32, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your edits in the mideast section

Hello, I see you adding many editorial comments to mideast articles. That is against policy, see WP:V, WP:RS, WP:CITE. You can only add opinions that are sourced to reliable sources. Your own opinions are never permitted. --Zerotalk 06:03, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

Several of them were sourced, and most were simply citing arguments rather than being opinion. On some of the pages, the anti-Israel argument is given more prominence than the pro-Israeli one, so I was trying to rectify this imbalance. I did source several things, and the sources (such as the Jerusalem Centre for Public Affairs) are perfectly reliable if one is looking for a summary of the Pro-Israeli argument. If you count newspapers with recorded history of anti-Israel bias, such as the Guardian, as reliable sources, why not the equivalent pro-Israel sources as a summary of the pro-Israel argument. -- Joseph Sanderson 12:51, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks

For rv'ing my userpage; of course it looked like vandalism, but I'd just forgotten to log in. I still appreciate what you did, good to know someone's looking out for vandals. --Hrodulf 13:18, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

Sorry. -- Joseph Sanderson 13:20, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
