Born the Great Grandchild of Irish immigrants in Hope Hospital, Salford on 10 July 1992 he lives in Atherton in Greater Manchester and attends Hesketh Fletcher C of E high school studying History, Geography, Resistant Materials, Physical Education and the mandatory English, Maths and Science

He joined Leigh ABC in 2006 and trained there for a year until he decided to change clubs and joined Pool of Life ABC in Atherton and will be making his debut at the end of May or the beginning of June.

Using a fast hard jab he softens up his opponent for his deadly right hand cross and left hook.

Rugby Union
He was the captain of Leigh Rugby Union Football Club but decided it wasn't the sport for him, his Mum was pleased he stopped playing the rough sport, little did she know in a couple of years he would start an even more rough sport, boxing.
Athletics
He is a member of Leigh Harriers Running Club where he trains whenever possible.
