[edit] Intro
I'm a game programmer from Wisconsin. I came up with the idea for this "Recent notable Wikipedia contributions" section and added it so that everyone can see what I've recently contributed to the Wikipedia community. Feel free to use the same layout on your own user page- it might catch on.
[edit] Recent notable Wikipedia contributions
The Game (rapper) (contributions)- October 6, 2007 - Added information regarding the rapper's reported retirement plans, including quotes, with two sources cited.
Westby, WI (contributions)- October 5, 2007 - Cleaned up the article and removed some uncited, poorly-written materials.
The Prince of Compton (contributions)- October 5, 2007 - I started this article. Lots of information, including a full track listing, list of producers, etc., with a citation. Very clean-looking page, good use of templates-- it took a solid amount of work to do this.
Ashen Empires (contributions)- October 4, 2007 - I started this article. Lots of information here (cited), and I even uploaded a screenshot. :) I think I did a great job here.. it was quite a bit of work.
McDonald's Monopoly (contributions)- October 4, 2007 - I merged the "McDonald's Monopoly Game scandal" section into the "History" section, which both exclusively talked about the fraud (that includes the so-called "History" section), and renamed the section to "Fraud." I also cleaned up a few things and removed the contradictory statement that $13 million had been stolen, where the article earlier says the total was $24 million.
Paid in Full Entertainment (contributions)- September 28, 2007 - I started this article.
Gucci Mane (contributions) - July 4, 2007 - I added the "Homicide Charges" paragraph with full citations. It was surprising to me that this information wasn't already included in the article, so I did some research and added it in. I also fixed some formatting errors in the first paragraph.
SAFE Port Act (contributions) - May 30, 2007 - I updated the section of the article that examines how online gambling sites (especially poker websites) have reacted to the law by citing examples of poker sites that still accept U.S. players and including a link to a full list of poker sites that still accept U.S. players. However, it was removed (through an apparent act of vandalism by User:2005). I re-instated the information, determining that it is a helpful contribution, and it was deleted again by the same user. Since then, I have decided not to spend the effort of going back and fixing it every time that happens. It appears that User:2005 has a history of deleting content from pages with the simple, inaccurate explanation of "spam," as is evident on his user talk page. The user should be reported.
John Favara (contributions) - January 21, 2006 - I started this article. It details the short story of a man believed to be killed by mafia don John Gotti.
[edit] Seeds of Time Online
Seeds of Time Online - a web-based, online/multiplayer RPG. Something like an MMORPG that you would play in your web browser. The open alpha test lasted from Oct. 27, 2007 to Dec. 31, 2007, and the official launch started Jan. 1, 2008 and is currently live.
[edit] Ultimate Tower Defense
Ultimate Tower Defense - development is currently on hold so I can focus on Seeds of Time Online. Written in C++ and Allego. The game's programming is more or less complete, but the campaigns (design, artwork, and sound) are still in development.
