[edit] Broken link
I have removed the following from the References section:
- "Earl of Scooby" was a royal fake—High school paper's scoop puts sex offender behind bars, CNN, 2006-01-16
It's a broken link, and it seems not to be archived in the wayback machine (Liberatore, 2006). 19:03, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] PLEASE REMOVE
My name is Joshua Gardner, the person this page is concering. I called Wikipedia a month ago requesting that this page be deleted. I am now respectfully asking on here for this page to be deleted. There is information in this page that is NOT correct and I would like it removed reight away. Thank you for your understanding. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.213.218.119 (talk) 07:59, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
- I have removed deadlinks, unverifiable information (which may be restored if proper sources are found) and, given the subject's concerns, ensured that every remaining claim has an inline citation from a reputable news source. --Moonriddengirl 13:46, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Move to Joshua Gardner hoax?
This person is not notable as a person and the article title should properly identify that. There is precedent for this at Henryk Batuta hoax and Essjay controversy. Axem Titanium (talk) 16:08, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] self referene
I have put the self-reference back as a external refernece, per WP:SELF. That sentences requires a citaiton. SYSS Mouse (talk) 16:31, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- I don't see the need for the AFD link myself, as the MSNBC ref supports the sentence in it's entirety. The sentence states that The students then found an entry about "Caspian James Chrichton Stuart IV" on the online encyclopedia..., and ...were able to derive from the deletion discussion Gardner's real name; neither statement is supported by a link to the AFD in question. There is a link to the AFD in the external links section that is adequate for those who are interested, but I see no value in the inline link. Kevin (talk) 21:26, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
