[edit] Jack's son?
I think that fan speculation should be respectively removed form the summary page only because it is inconclusive and hasn't been confirmed on the show. I do think that it's okay to post theories (I too think that Josh is Jacks son), but until we have offical confirmation it would be best to keep it off the summary page, not to be rude to any fans. This is just like whhat happened when Curtis got shot, everyone assumed that he was dead, but to avoid problems it's best to just keep those comments to ourselves. - I agree that it should wait, but that seems like a pretty likely possibility.
- My bad. It seemed to fit with the tone of the article at the time. One of the writers acknowledged said speculation in an interview, and dismissively says it's "an interesting coincidence": http://fractalmatter.com/main/?p=516 UltraNurd 21:24, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Carol as his aunt
Are we sure Kim's aunt Carol is also Josh's aunt as the fact box indicates? I asked the question on the Teri Bauer page if we knew Carol was for a fact Teri's sister (as is stated in her article) and not Jack's. Now I'm asking the opposite question...are we sure she's Jack's sister and not Teri's?
Since it seems to be an unclarified plot point maybe we should remove mentions of aunt carol except on the article about Kim who we know for a fact is related to her.

[edit] Jack Sees Himself
He sees Josh for suffering pain... because he once looked up to his father / granfather. But even if the rest of his family was dead to him, he couldn't allow an innocent child to suffer the guilt. And he promised Josh to tell him why at the end of the day. Josh Bauer has to know the truth before he can heal Sod Aries 01:44, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Phillip Bauer's son, not Graem
In reading the interview with Graem (Paul McCrane), it reads like this:
Q: Did you watch the rest of the season to see what happened to your TV family?
A: No. After that, I've been directing all year.
Q: Well, it turns out that Phillip is really Josh's dad!
A: No! I assumed he was going to be (Jack's) son, so they fooled me! That's great!
Then, later on in an interview with Marilyn (Rena Sofer), it's confirmed yet again that not only was Josh Phillip's son, but how it came to be.
Q: A lot of fans speculated that Jack was the real father of Josh Bauer, so were you surprised when you read that Josh was actually Phillip's son?
A: Oh my God, I walked around the set going, "I had sex with James Cromwell? What?!" They were like, "Yeah, you did!" and I'm like, "I slept with every single Bauer - that is so disgusting!" (Laughs). But I didn't...I didn't have sex with Phillip Bauer. What happened was that Graem and I couldn't have a child, so they went to a sperm bank and Phillip implants his sperm, which makes sense as to why he is so incredibly insane about his legacy.
Yet another confirmation was in the interview with Josh (Evan Ellingson).
Q: Your character has the weirdest family tree ever, with an evil "father" and "grandfather-father"." Did you and your TV mom, Rena Sofer, ever laugh over the insanity?
A: When I was on set a couple weeks ago, we were filming and the director actually slipped and told me who my dad is. I hadnt read anything and I was confused and figured that he didn't really mean it. Then I looked around and everybody around me was silent. I was like, "What the heck!?" It was a giant shock. Rena and I found out at the same time so it was funny.
So for whatever reason, the higher-ups decided to never reveal that Josh was Phillips son.
That's an excerpt from the OFFICIAL 24 magazine. I will change it.
Now, I changed the article to reflect this, but I don't have time to change *ALL* 24 articles to reflect this. I would appreciate if someone else could. Thanks.Sod Aries 01:52, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
If it didn't happen in the show, then it's not canon. --Rubber cat 12:55, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Joshbauer1.jpg
Image:Joshbauer1.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Merge
Character lacks General notability in the Wider 24 universe and has not appeared in multiple seasons, the character creation could have been lost and the show would not have suffered.--Lucy-marie 15:58, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
Not really that important; being a relative of Jack's isnt enough to get him his own page. Unlikely to return or be important in future seasons. Merge. asyndeton 17:18, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
- Agree, this should merge. WP is not a crystal ball and so far this character has not demonstrated notability. If it does return & becomes integral to plot / action / whatever then a separate article can be considered. --lquilter 13:23, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
