There might be a few things to check in the article. Silsbee practiced in Syracuse until he severed his partnership with Ellis Hall in 1885. Silsbee & Kent (Chicago) was from 1882 to 1884. Silsbee & Marling (Buffalo) was from 1882 to 1888. I have never heard of a Silsbee & Potter?

I will add a brief para on Chicago as well.
