[edit] ISBN

From article

  • Anderson, Eva Greenslit Dog-Team Doctor: The Story of Dr. Romig, 1940 (ISBN 0-342-40799-7 Please check ISBN|Calculated check digit (6) doesn't match given.}})
cannot locate this isbn. predates isbn process. Source of the ISBN is Alibris: http://www.alibris.com/books/isbn/0342407997/Dog%2Dteam%20doctor%3B%20the%20story%20of%20Dr%2E%20Romig
I can't find one either, I've searched Alibris, Abebooks, Amazon, Bookfinder, British Library and Library of Congress, I can find no ISBN for this book. There appears to be a copy printed in 1990 on sale (same copy on Abe and Alibris), but it says first ed signed by Romig, so this is almost certainly a typo for 1940. Since the ISBN is invalid I am removing it for the moment. If you can find that copy on Alibris again, it would be interesting, may be there was a reprint, but I found no sign. P.S. Now I see the ISBN in the URL. Rich Farmbrough, 22:44 15 January 2007 (GMT).

[edit] Conflicting sources on Elizabeth Romig (b.1900 or 1901)

The Rootsweb genealogy claims a U.S. census source (via Ancestry.com) for a daughter named "Elizabeth H." This is expanded (without reference) to Elizabeth Helen, born 1901.

The Alaska History Project refers to her as "Jean Elizabeth", gives her married name as "Jean Elizabeth Romig Daily" and her birthdate as 1900.

This forum post appears to be from a relative referring to her as "Elizabeth Romig Daily".

As a compromise between sources, I have edited her name to "Elizabeth". ("Jean" may have been a nickname?) I am leaving the birthdate as 1900, as the Alaska History Project seems more reliable than the unsourced date at Rootsweb. -- Shunpiker 18:57, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
