Joshua Green is a senior editor of The Atlantic Monthly and a contributing editor of The Washington Monthly who writes primarily about U.S. politics.[1][2]
Green began his career in 1995 as an editor at the satirical weekly The Onion and was a staff writer from 2000 to 2001 at The American Prospect. He received a graduate degree from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism in 1998, and graduated from Connecticut College in 1994.
Green has been with The Atlantic Monthly since September 2003. During that time his work has been anthologized in collections ranging from Best American Political Writing 2005[3] to The Bob Marley Reader.[4] Among his more recent writings for The Atlantic Monthly is a November 2006 cover story on Hillary Clinton and a November 2004 story on George W. Bush presidential adviser Karl Rove.[5][6]
In 2007, Politico reported that Green's negative story on the Hillary Clinton campaign for GQ magazine was killed after the Clinton camp threatened access to Bill, who is slated to appear on the magazine's December 2007 cover.
