Joshibi University of Art and Design (女子美術大学 Joshibijutsu Daigaku?)
abbreviated女子美 (Joshibi?), is a private art and design university located in Sagamihara, Japan.

Originally founded in 1900, as private women's school of fine arts(PWSFA), located in Hongo-ku(now Bunkyo-ku), was one of the oldest art school in Japan. PWSFA renamed women's school of fine arts(WSFA) in 1919. WSFA was accredited by the Government as a vocational college in 1929, renamed women's academy of fine arts(WAFA). WAFA moved to Suginami in 1935. A new school education law had introduced in 1949, WAFA renamed women's college of fine arts(WCFA). A new campus opened in 1990, moved to Sagamihara. Master's degree programs started to offere in 1994,Doctor of Philosophy programs started to offer in 1996. WCFA renamed Joshibi University of art and design.

Joshibi offers a Bachelor of Fine Arts(BFA 4-Year) degree in 8 areas: Oil Painting and Printing, Nihonga(Japanese style Paintings), Crafts, Sculpture, Design, Media Art, Fashion design and Performing Arts, Science of Arts, for female students.
Master's and Doctor of Philosophy degree programs are offered for both female and male students in 3 areas: Fine art, Design, Art and Cultural studies.
Joshibi Art Museum(JAM) opend at Sagamihara campus in 2001. JAM displays students, lecturers, and visitors fine art works and design.
