[edit] Character Information

Josh first arrived in Summer Bay in late 2001 while on Schoolies and began setting his sights on Dani Sutherland, who rejected his advances at first but they later began dating. Josh quickly gained employment as a lifeguard at the Surf Club, taking over from Vinnie Patterson, who had recently taken paternity leave. This arrangement became permanent when Vinnie was sentenced to 18 months imprisonment for fraud after being framed by his father.

After breaking up with Dani, Josh began pursuing an affair with Hayley Lawson, who he was living with along with her boyfriend Noah. Noah and Hayley eventually broke up and Josh moved into the flat above the Diner. Josh and Hayley began dating but things didn't work out.

In 2003, Josh left the bay, but made several sporadic returns.

In 2005, Josh returned to town and ran for Mayor which didn't sit well with Alf Stewart, who was also running. Josh later won the election and began to proceed with project 56, with which he enlisted the help of Amanda Vale. Morag Bellingham was keen to bring Josh down and a battle soon ensued.

In 2006, Josh was shot dead in his office and numerous Summer Bay residents were under suspicions as a lot of people weren't happy with Josh in office.

It was later revealed to viewers via confession from Barry Hyde to Morag, and in flashbacks, that Barry had killed Josh in a struggle.
