Josh Tyrangiel

Josh Tyrangiel is a journalist, best known as the editor of TIME.com and as an assistant managing editor at TIME magazine. He is also a music critic, and has been the TIME critic since 2001.[1] He writes for other publications as well.
Tyrangiel received his master's degree in American Studies from Yale University. Before coming to TIME, he worked at Vibe and Rolling Stone magazines and produced the news at MTV.[1] He came to work for TIME in 1999 as a staff writer and music critic.[2]
In journalistic circles, Tyrangiel is postulated to be the successor to Richard Stengel, the current editor of TIME.[3]
Tyrangiel has served on the judges panel for the Shortlist Music Prize.
