Josh Leo is a videoblogger who is active in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He has been actively "vlogging" since March of 2005. He is a member of the national videoblogging community and a promoter of grassroots media.[1] Though originally from the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, Leo lives in Grand Rapids and produces a vlog which often features attractions around the city.

Josh Leo's vlog has an estimated 500 viewers each day. Topics of his videos range from driving around Grand Rapids looking for the best hot dogs to asking local people what they think about Gerald Ford. From filming to posting, it takes an average of five hours for him to produce an entry.[2]

He has appeared in the New York Times, New York Times Magazine [1] [2], M-Live, Grand Rapids Press, Michigan Public Radio, Berlin Newspaper, Zive, WZZM13 and Wired Magazine.[3]

Through workshops, such as Node 101, Leo has attempted to spread the word about video blogging. He has already made presentations in New York, Chicago and San Francisco, teaches videoblogging classes at the Grand Rapids Community Media Center and helps to organize workshops for vlogging conventions.[2]

He currently lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan and works as a professional English-language radio producer, writer, and voice-talent for the world-syndicated radio program "Spotlight." He holds a a bachelor's degree in Communications and Mass Media from Calvin College.[1]

Josh Leo is also the creator of Wandering West Michigan. Wandering West Michigan is a weekly video blog hosted by Josh Leo. It features videos highlighting local events, businesses, people, attractions, and other things of interest that make the west side of the “Great Lakes State” unique.
