[edit] Biography

[edit] Club career

Hannay was named to make his debut at the age of 16 during the 1996 season; however, his selection was vetoed by the Australian Rugby League, as he was not 16 years of age at the beginning of the year. In 1998 he made his first grade debut for the Cowboys. From 1998 to 2006 he was a regular first grade centre for the Cowboys and becoming the club's greatest point-scorer

Hannay signed to play for the Cronulla Sharks in 2007 until the end of 2008. In 2007, after struggling for form in top grade and Premier League both he and fellow Sharks recruit Brett Seymour were told they were not wanted in Premier League. Hannay then played his trade for the Gymea Gorillas before signing with the Celtic Crusaders. [1]

[edit] Representative career

He was first selected for at State of Origin level for the Queensland Maroons in 2003. He was also named in the centres for the Maroons in game 3 of the 2006 State Of Origin series.
