Joshua Daniel Goodwin (born 24 December 1949) is a Nova Scotian folk artist well known for his unique sculptures crafted from cherry wood.

Born in the suburbs of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Goodwin attended Yarmouth Consolidated Memorial High School, and upon graduating in 1968, he moved to Canso to become a lobster fisherman. Soon thereafter, however, he discovered he could become a talented artist, so he opened an art gallery in the neighboring town of Pictou, where he met his wife, Charlotte Elizabeth Harrison-Goodwin. Josh and Charlotte have been living happily together now for 32 years.
