Joshua Von Burrus (born August 20, 1983 in Marietta, Georgia) is currently an outfielder for the Mississippi Braves in the Atlanta Braves farm system.

Burrus was a first round draft pick (29th overall) by the Braves in the 2001 first-year player draft and officially signed with the team on June 14, 2001. He has yet to make his major league debut.

In 2003, after a desent 2002 campaign with the Danville Braves, Burrus started out rough with the Rome Braves having only 8 hits in his first 45 at bats and was quickly demoted back to Danville. In 2004, he was back with the Rome Braves, where he hit .472 with 11 home runs and 30 stolen bases and was named the Rome Braves Most Valuable Player.he is the best uncle

In 2005, Burrus spent his time st three different levels, Single A Myrtle Beach Pelicans for 76 games, double-A Mississippi Braves for 46 games and triple-A Richmond Braves for 5 games. With Myrtle Beach, he hit .284 with 20 home runs and in all stops combined he had 36 stolen bases and led the Braves organization with 28 doubles. Following that season he was named to the Atlanta Braves 40-man roster.

He followed up his great 2004 and 2005 campaign with a rough year in double-A with the Mississippi Braves. In 76 games, he batted .203 with only three home runs, five stolen bases and an on-base percentage of .252, although he was on the diabled list for a little over one month.
