Joseph Todaro, Jr.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Joseph "Big Joe" Todaro, Jr. is an alleged Buffalo, New York organized crime figure involved in labor racketeering, loansharking, illegal gambling, narcotics, and murder for hire. A longtime business agent for LIUNA Local 210, he resigned in 1990 following investigations on the local's alleged ties to organized crime.
According to the U.S. Department of Justice, Joe Jr. assumed the day-to-day running of the Buffalo crime family from his father, Joseph Todaro, Sr., in 1999. However, Joe Sr., who moved to Florida during the mid-1990s, was still the official head of the crime family as of late 2001. Others believe that Joe Todaro may not be the head of what is left of the Buffalo crime family; it may now be in the hands of Leonard Falzone.
Joe Jr. is also part owner of the La Nova Pizzeria, one of the largest food franchises in the Buffalo area.
