Joseph Russell

Joseph Russell (1800-April 24, 1875) was a U.S. Representative from New York.

Born in New York and resided in Warrensburg, New York, Russell received a limited schooling. Sheriff of Warren County, November 1834-November 1837. He served as member of the New York state assembly, 1840.

Russell was elected as a Democrat to the Twenty-ninth Congress (March 4, 1845-March 3, 1847).

Russell was again elected to the Thirty-second Congress (March 4, 1851-March 3, 1853).
