Joseph Rimmer

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Joseph Rimmer (born January 26, 1925) was an English cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-pace bowler.

Rimmer made his debut appearance for the Derbyshire second XI during the 1948 season, however, he did not appear again for the team for nearly ten months. During 1949 he made his debut in the County Championship, however, as a tailender who was moderately expensive with his batting, he did not last long in the team and was out at the end of the 1949 season.

The same season saw Laurie Johnson and Tom Hall take centre-stage and give Rimmer little chance to show his bowling credentials.
