Joseph Rescigno is a conductor and is the Artistic Advisor and Principal Conductor of the Florentine Opera Company of Milwaukee, Wisconsin in the United States. He is the nephew of the conductor Nicolà Rescigno.
Rescigno has conducted around the world from the New York City Opera and the Montreal Symphony to companies in both of the Americas, Asia and Europe. His repertory includes symphonies, concertos, operas and oratorios from Bach through Shostakovich and Corigliano.
As Artistic Director of l’Orchestre Métropolitain of Montreal, he made four recordings in four years of works by Beethoven, Brahms, Mendelssohn, and Mozart. Two other recordings round-out his discography: Verismo (arias with Diana Soviero) and Minoru Miki's Joruri.
