Joseph McMurran Scholar Award

The Joseph McMurran Scholar Award is the highest academic award given by Shepherd University. The award is named after the first dean of the school, Joseph McMurran.
The award is given out only to members of the graduating class nominated by faculty in their perspective majors. To be elegable for nomination students must have at least a 3.8 GPA (on a 4.0 scale).
