Joseph M. Tucci

Joseph M. Tucci, more popularly known as Joe Tucci, is Chairman of the Board of Directors, President and Chief Executive Officer of EMC Corporation. Tucci has been EMC's Chairman since January 2006 and President and CEO since January 2001, one year after he joined the company as President and Chief Operating Officer.

Before joining EMC, Tucci directed the financial and operational rebirth of Wang Global during six years as its Chairman and CEO. Tucci is also a member of the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST).

Tucci received his bachelor's degree from Manhattan College and an MS in Business Policy from Columbia University.

According to a 2008 article by Dan Shaughnessy of the Boston Globe, Tucci "punctured" a large LED display with an errant baseball during a publicity appearance with the Boston Red Sox in Japan.
