Joseph J. Weed was an expert in the art and study of the Esoteric Philosophy, Mysticism, the Occult, and a student the in Arcane School, studied with the Agni Yoga society, and perhaps most importantly,was a devout Rosicrucian. Joseph J. Weed was a lifelong student of these arts and wished to share the joys of metaphysical practice into the lives of everyday people, in order for them to better themselves, and improve ones life, in addition to granting people the ability to help others

During his lifetime, Joseph J. Weed published several books for the purpose of helping other understand, and more importantly, embrace, the metaphysical arts, and to harness them for themselves to use in their own lives and to help themselves, through teaching and helping others find enlightenment, or simply in everyday tasks. Some of Joseph Weed's more renowned books while with the Parker Publishing Company include, The Wisdom of The Mystic Masters, Amazing Secrets of Physic Healing, and Psychic Energy. Joseph J. Weed not wrote books for the public to utilize for themselves, but was an avid lecturer. Joseph Weed started lecturing about the Esoteric Philosophies and such in 1938, and delivered nearly two hundred lectures before his death, in cities all across the United States and in Canada.

In addition to his responsibilities practicing and studying the Arts, writing several books, and delivering lectures across the country, Joseph J. Weed was the former president of the Weed Television Corporation, and also, Van Drenthem International Ltd. His binding responsibilities due to these companies required him to be traveling almost constantly, and to contact and confer with numerous persons all over the world.
