Joseph DeSimone (b. April 5, 1934 in Fort Lee, New Jersey) aka. Joe Desi and Joe Black, is a Caporegime with the Bonanno crime family.

Joseph DeSimone is a cousin of Thomas DeSimone, Anthony DeSimone, Robert DeSimone and Dolores DeSimone. He is a distant relative of the former Boss of the Los Angeles crime family, Frank DeSimone, and of Rosario DeSimone. James DeSimone is the son-in-law to a former Fort Lee, New Jersey fire chief and Bonanno crime family associate Joseph Cariddi who would become the future Lucchese crime family consigliere and underboss. His brother is Ralph DeSimone.

Joseph DeSimone worked with Dominic "Sonny Black" Napolitano and was involved in the 1981 murders of rival faction leaders Alphonse "Sonny Red" Indelicato, Philip "Phil Lucky" Giaccone and Dominick "Big Trin" Trinchera. Before becoming a capo, he was a sidewalk soldier who worked under Capo Phillip Giaccone, whose execution he would later help carry out, on the orders of Dominic "Sonny Black" Napolitano and the recognized Underboss of the Bonannos, Joseph "Big Joe" Massino.

DeSimone is the manager of DJ Jeweler's Incorporated in Kensington, New York. The store is managed by his daughter. On April 5, 1996, Joe DeSimone was released after a thirteen-month sentence for loansharking and extortion charges. On June 10, 2003, DeSimone had his daughter's fiance involved in a massive FBI Bonanno crime family investigation, by arranging for his Cadillac to be stolen by a fellow Bonanno crime family made member a week before his daughter's planned wedding. He later explained to the FBI, "They needed the money to get married."
