Joseph Bastianich

Joseph Bastianich (born 1968) is an American restaurateur. He is the son of chef Lidia Bastianich and a frequent business partner of Mario Batali, with whom he owns several New York City restaurants.
Prior to entering the restaurant and wine indistry, Bastianich graduated from Boston College and worked as a bond trader at Merrill Lynch.
Along with another business partner, David Lynch, he co-authored Vino Italiano: The Regional Wines of Italy (published in 2002). Joseph Bastianich appears frequently on television as a wine expert on cooking programs hosted by his mother and by Batali. He owns winemaking and olive oil producing interests in Italy.
