Jose Sese

Jose Sese is a Filipino-American baseball player. He plays for the Manila Lumpias. He is a pitcher and his current record is 33-1. He is known for his screwball that goes 100 mph. He dominated the playoffs.

Jose was born in the Philippines. After seven years, (where he spoke English and Tagalog) he moved to Des Plaines, Illinois. He went to Gemini Junior High and attended Maine East High School. After three years in Des Plaines, Jose moved to Norridge, Illinois. He lived with his mother, Demi, and his sister. His friend Gustavo Segovia was a major influence in keeping Jose from drugs and alcohol, which he was tempted to use.

Jose attended college at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He majored in accountancy and graduated at the top of his class. In college, Jose joined a plethora a fraternities and was the star pitcher for the UIC Flames. He went 33-0 with a 0.19 ERA and set NCAA division III history.

Jose was undrafted but quickly was signed by the Florida Marlins' development team the Kane County Cougars. While on the team, Jose struggled. The people quickly adapted to his screwball and he gave up 14 runs on his debut game. Jose's record was 2-12 and finished with a 4.42 ERA. Jose was released from the team.

In the Filipino Major League (FML), Jose is a star. It is his first season and he has 33 wins and 1 loss. This is impressive in that a rookie set the major league record. His 0.23 ERA is a record. Jose started the All-Star game and gave up 0 runs in 10 innings. He was team MVP and the Lumpias are set to go to the playoffs as the first seed.

The Manila Lumpias defeated the Quezon City Soy Sauces in the first round. They are now ready to face fifth seed Cavite Nanays. Jose pitched three of the four games with a 0.11 ERA. He is expected to start two games against Cavite.
