Corona started his career in CF Atlas in 2002, being an important and vital goalkeeper for Atlas. Playing 47 games from 2002 to 2004, he was transferred to UAG Tecos in 2004. Corona has been capped by the Mexico national football team, and was recently called up to represent his country in the 2006 World Cup as the 2nd goalkeeper for Mexican national team. He is also well remembered for his stunning performance against Boca Juniors when he played for Chivas de Guadalajara as a loan in the 2005 edition of Copa Libertadores.
