José da Câmara Teles, 4th Count of Ribeira Grande

D. Luís Manuel da Câmara (1712 - 1757), was a member of the family of Gonçalves da Câmara, a son of Luís Manuel da Câmara, he was the 13th donatary captain of the island of São Miguel. He was the fourth cout of Ribeira Grande.
He was born in Lisbon in 1712, he was educated in Paris, he married D. Margarida de Lorena e Távora in 1728 and raised two children, one died young and another was a daughter named Joana Tomásia da Câmara.
He was a donatary capitain from 1724 until his death.
He lived in Ponta Delgada until 1752, he dedicated his administration on funding textile manufacturers. He died in Lisbon in 1757 at the age of 45.
