José Rui

José 'Zé' Rui is the current assistant coach of the Cape Verde national football team. Former international Zé Rui was called as a new national trainer of Cape Verde. He replaced Alexandre Alhinho, who resigned in January. Zé Rui took the load for the friendly against Portugal in Evora on May 27. He played as a professional in Portugal for Vitoria de Sétubal and Belenenses. He was Alexandre Alhinho's assistant coach during the 2006 World Cup qualifying campaign. Now he is Ricardo Rocha's assistant.
