José Ortiz Bernal aka José Ortiz (born 4 August 1977 in Almería) is a Spanish football player who currently plays for UD Almería of the Spanish Primera Division. His usual demarcation is forward. As captain of the team he led the club from the Segunda División B, through Segunda División to La Liga. Served an uneventful stint abroad, when he played in Italy's Ravenna Calcio, before returning immediately to the team he had left just one season before.
