José Manuel Jurado Marín (born 29 June 1986 in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Cádiz) also known as Jurado, currently plays for Atlético Madrid. He is a specialty free-kick taker with a cannon of a left foot.
Jurado is able to play as an attacking midfielder or on the left wing, but generally enjoys just sitting behind a sole striker. He was the star of Real Madrid Castilla and one of the youngest players alongside Javi Garcia.
He made five appearances with the first team of Real Madrid, most notably against Olympiakos in the UEFA Champions League.
On August 4, 2006, Jurado moved to city rivals Atlético Madrid for a reported fee of 3 million euros, signing a four-year contract. However, like with Álvaro Arbeloa before him, Real Madrid included a "special clause" in Jurado's contract, having the option of buying him back at the end of the 07/08 season for free.
