José Antonio Galisteo García (born 24 February 1977 in Viladecans, Barcelona) was a contestant in the fifth season of the Spanish reality television series Operación Triunfo, where he placed sixth in a field of 18. He has since gone on to record a bestselling disc, Remember, which produced a hit European single, I Promised Myself, and has toured frequently in Spain. He also performed several songs from the Remember CD at the 2007 Europride festival in Madrid, where he was enthusiastically received by his fans.[1]
The middle of three children in a working class family, Galisteo was musical from an early age, beginning to play the piano at the age of four. After completing his education, Galisteo joined the military.[2]
