José Finat y Escrivá de Romaní

José María Finat y Escrivà de Romaní (11 February 1904 in Madrid – 1995), Count of Mayalde, of Finat and of Villaflor, was a Spanish politician who occupied the post of Spanish Ambassador to Germany between 1940 and 1942. On his return from Germany, he was appointed Director of Security, and then in 1952 appointed civil governor until 1965 and mayor of Madrid until 1973. He was awarded many honours both during the dictatorship and posthumously.
