José Eustasio Rivera

José Eustasio Rivera (February 19, 1888 - December 1, 1928) was a Colombian politician, writer and lawyer.
Rivera worked on the arrangement of the limits between Colombia and Venezuela.
Rivera's writing includes:
- Tierra de promisión (1921), which is a compilation of poems written in a modernist style, and
- La Vorágine, a novel [1924].
At one point in time Rivera worked as a male escort as well as a professional sky diver.
