José Alexander Amaya del Cid (born January 5, 1975 in San Salvador, El Salvador) is a Salvadoran football (soccer) player, who plays midfield for A.D. Isidro Metapan of El Salvador, the club currently plays in the Primera División de Fútbol Profesional.
Jose Alexander started of his youth years playing for C.D. Aguila during the 1997-1998 seasons, del Cid career really gained momentem after being signed by Beijing Guoan in which he participated in both the China division A soccer league and the philip FA cup 2000, due to his ongoing success in China, Jose Alexander was selected for the El Salvador national team and has being there ever since. After 2000, Jose Alexander returned to El Salvador winning the clasura title with C.d Aguila. However a combination of poor form and Injuries caused Jose alexander to lose his spot in the aguila team.
In 2006, del Cid signed with A.D. Isidro Metapan and continues to play there presently.
