Hi there. Welcome to Wikipedia! (...)

I noticed you're interested in the mathematics articles. You might want to take a quick look at Wikipedia:WikiProject Mathematics to see how we organize that section and who's working on it.

Thanks. You're right, I should read about the math project...

[edit] 109 & 1729

I think that in the overall broad strokes, we're probably both in agreement regarding the number pages. The real problem with 1729 is the edit war between Anthony and Wik, which is not allowing the pages on the number and its related mathematical concepts to grow.

As for 109, it appears to be an uninteresting number. I've looked up all sorts of different primes, hoping to find to find more to say about 109 besides its being a twin prime. PrimeFan 22:11, 19 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Why are you removing material from Talk:Physics? Usually we keep old irrelevant stuff until the page gets too big, then we archive it. -- Tim Starling 03:40, Mar 24, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Entropy Article

Would you advise if you feel the current revision of Entropy satisfied your request for a more intuitive explanation? Either way would you post your reply on the Talk page there? Thanks! Sitearm 07:53, 1 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Etc.

I liked your comments on the Philosophy of mathematics discussion. You add value to Wikipedia. 61.68.53.53 07:30, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] on Performance analysis

Hi. I noticed that you edited the Performance analysis page about a year ago. You said "A profiler is a performance analysis tool that measures ... the frequency and duration of function calls." To me, that is not right because it implies that you have information about the individual call instructions/statements from which the functions are called. I don't see this information in the output of any profiler except (possibly) Sun's. I do think the percent of time attributable to individual calls is the most important information, and I added a section to the page, called "Simple manual technique", that explains why this is so. I know this is a bit of a contrarian viewpoint, but I've published it and gotten good response in the past. I'm thinking of doing some more rewording here, but I'd like to see what you think. Thanks.
