I am Joris van Stiphout and am born on November 28, 1985 in Helmond, Brabant. I'm a third year physics student at the TU/e. I managed to pass all first year courses (the propedeuse [proːpə'døːzə] as we call it) in my first year.

My main interest in physics is everything that has something to do with quantum physics. I don't like optics and thermodynamics much. Planetology, astronomy and cosmology are some of me interests too.

Over the last few years I also developed an interest in languages and psychology.


I would like people to use the terms Holland and the Netherlands for the different things they actually are, and stop referring to the country as "Holland" (which it isn't).
